Category: Lee Farrell
Born and raised in a Seventh Day Adventist home, Lee J. Farrell attended private schools until the completion of junior high. During his high school years he drifted away from his conservative upbringing and studied the doctrines of other more liberal Christian denominations at length. In his mid twenties, Lee’s father become a pastor for the Adventist Church as Lee drifted further away from his family’s doctrinal beliefs. Ultimately Lee decided to leave the church he’d grown up in and study on his own.
Lee’s personal studies focused primarily on ancient Hebrew and ancient near eastern religious texts with a particular interest in how modern Christianity has been corrupted by “pagan” influences to the point that the religion no longer resembles what the original founders once believed. For seven years, Lee studied very deeply forms of Messianic Christianity and Judaism, observing the annual festivals of the Bible as closely as possible. At one point he facilitated group discussions online regarding the pagan origins of Christianity. Eventually his studies also branched out into what some might call esoteric and/or occult (hidden) writings of various “learned masters.”
Today Lee would classify himself more as an agnostic with a deep passion for learning and continual growth. His greatest passion is in sharing new discoveries with others and helping to explain complex concepts in easy to understand terms. He is currently working on a collection of books exposing the pagan origins of modern Christianity for the purpose of helping others to think more critically about their beliefs and open their minds to further study.
WAT011 – The Tower of Babel’s “Occult” Meaning and it’s Connection to the Watchers
I’ve been putting off this article for quite a while simply because I don’t really have enough audience participation in this blog to make digging into the “proofs” or “fact checking” I would normally like to do worth while. Suffice it to say therefore, these are things I simply find INTERESTING and would gladly dig… Read more
WAT010 – “Mythology” of the Flood Story, a Personal Rant About the Arrogance of Blind Faith
Today’s blog post is a little off-script in that it does not directly relate to the book review The Watchers: Lost Secrets of Ascension, Resurrection and Perfection. Rather, in the process of writing my last blog post regarding the story of the flood and how it relates to the story of the Watchers, I was… Read more
WAT009 – A Review of the Biblical Flood and the Role of the Watchers
It’s time to dig a little deeper into the biblical flood story, particularly in regards to the story of the Watchers. I’m sorry about the length of this one and, I fear, it is going to sound a bit overly critical of the church or even of “God”. I do not mean any offense by… Read more
WAT008 – The Watchers Sin – Putting on the Garments of Skin
As we’ve been discussing thus far in my blog review of The Watchers: The Lost Secrets of Ascension, Resurrection and Perfection, the Watchers were a mysterious group of angelic or spiritual beings referred to only briefly in the accepted biblical cannon. While the remnants of the story of the watchers are still found in Genesis… Read more
WAT007 – Secrets of the Rainbow (i.e. Spiritual Philosophical Deep Shit)
I have a LOT of deep thoughts about a lot of topics but find that most people I know don’t really care to think that deeply about things. That’s not meant to be an insult to anyone as if I’m saying that all my friends are shallow. Rather, I’m saying that most of my friends… Read more
WAT006 – How the Story of the Watchers Explains One of the Strangest Passages in the New Testament
There is a passage in the New Testament that has, as far as I can remember, caused a lot of debate and controversy among Christians. Most people simply ignore it all together, pretending it’s not there or simply dismissing it away as some strange long-forgotten custom that we don’t fully understand. Others try to understand… Read more
WAT005 – The Big Sin and the Flood
For the past couple of weeks I have been pointing out how the serpent in the garden of Eden may be a Seraphim angel and why that understanding might be so important to understanding the biblical “original sin” and what’s going on in the book of Genesis. Today I’m going to quit beating around the… Read more
WAT004 – The Serpent and the Seraphim
This is one of those blog posts today where I feel like I either have to explain a whole lot of my background and understanding or risk leaving the reader feeling like I’m making ridiculous leaps of logic without any basis in fact. Once again I struggle with the difference between writing a blog of… Read more
WAT003 – The Creation Story in Sumerian “Myth” and the Bible
While preparing this blog post today I was reminded that I am writing a blog (not a book) and sharing my THOUGHTS (not writing a dissertation). I say this because I was searching desperately the other night trying to cite my sources for various things I remember studying twenty years ago and having trouble locating… Read more
WAT002 – The First “Sin” and the Garden of Eden
Growing up a Christian I never suspected that one of my biggest challenges theologically would end up being how I should feel about the serpent in the story of the Garden of Eden. Who exactly was the serpent, what is he, and why, if he is such a vile creature, does Jesus admonish his followers… Read more
